Mastering The Balance
Once you have constructed a plan to maintain your work-life balance, keep that plan in place. Always be aware that it is easy to fall back into the bad habit of putting work before yourself. When you have your plan and agenda in place for a healthier life you must keep up with it. Keep track with calendars, journals or cell phone.
Fight The Technostress
Since our daily lives revolve around technology, it brings the daily usage up and so does our stress level. The problem with this is for us to think it makes our lives easier but in reality, it evokes typical stress responses and increases our heart rate, blood pressure and everything else and we don’t think about the negative impacts. Fight the technostress and enjoy the environment, do one task at a time, and take a break from all the light up screens that distract us from what really matters.
Strategy
Here are some things you can consider:
- Manage the balance by mastering your work and personal life. If you have a healthy mind and body overall you will be a happier person.
- You may have found your career but we still set goals. It could be for health or even a higher position. Remember when setting them to make them realistic, don’t set them to high and give reasonable deadlines.
- Expand your options, you do not have to depend on yourself. Take advantage of the time off your employer offers.
When following a new plan or routine, it can be stressful and it is easy to forget. Consider all your options and stay on your positive track!
